Gamesa says that it has signed its first contract with Belgian renewable energy producer Elicio for an 18 MW wind farm at Quint, located in Flers-Sur-Noye in northern France.
According to the agreement, Gamesa will handle the transportation, installation and commissioning of nine G97-2.0 MW turbines. Delivery of the turbines is set to begin in September, and commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter of 2017. The agreement also encompasses the provision of operations and maintenance services for 15 years.
Gamesa has installed 788 MW of wind power in France since entering the market in 2000.
