Gamesa has reached an agreement with the Uruguayan firm Astidey for the construction of a 50 MW wind farm located in Uruguay.
According to the agreement, Gamesa will supply, transport, install and commission 25 G97-2.0 MW turbines at the Talas de Maciel I wind farm, located in Flores. The agreement also includes a 20-year operationd and maintenance contract. Turbine delivery will occur throughout this year.
As it has with previous Gamesa-led, Latin American-based projects, the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. assisted with financing, the company notes.
