Gamesa has renewed a contract which provides operations and maintenance (O&M) services to Societa Energie Rinnovabili, an Italian joint venture that includes Gamesa shareholder Iberdrola.
According to Gamesa, the O&M contract covers up to 244.65 MW on 231 Gamesa wind turbines located on 11 wind farms in Italy. The four-year contract includes a two-year option to extend the deal, Gamesa notes.
Due to its recurring revenue, high profitability and cashflow generation, Gamesa notes that the O&M arena represents a key area for the company's growth.Â
