Turbine manufacturer Gamesa reports that its G128-4.5 MW wind turbine prototype achieved a new record for energy output by a single turbine in Spain. According to the company, the turbine generated 97.34 MWh.
Gamesa erected the prototype in April 2009 at a wind farm in Jaulin, Spain. The company also says the prototype has achieved previous milestones for wind energy generation in Spain.
