Gamesa has secured a new order from Forca Eolica do Brasil, a consortium made up of Iberdrola and Neoenergia, for the supply of 42 G114-2.0 MW turbines at three wind farms located in Rio Grande do Norte, in northeastern Brazil.
Gamesa will supply, transport, install and commission 15 G114-2.0 MW turbines at the Santana 1 wind farm, 15 at the Calango 6 facility and another 12 at the Santana 2 complex.
These 42 turbines, which will be made at Gamesa's factory in Camacari, Brazil, are due for delivery during the third quarter of 2016. The wind farms are slated for commissioning by the end of 2016.
Gamesa and the Iberdrola-Neoenergia consortium are no strangers. The turbine maker has fulfilled orders totaling 372 MW, including the 150 MW Calango wind complex, one of the country's largest.
