Gamesa has signed two new agreements in Brazil: one to supply 68 MW to Companhia de Energias Renovaveis (CER) and another to supply 30 MW to Ventos dos Guaras I Energias Renovaveis.

The agreement with CER includes the supply, transport, installation and commissioning of 34 G97-2.0 MW turbines at the Assurua II, Assurua V and Assurua VII wind farms within the Xique-Xique wind complex. The wind turbines, which will be made at Gamesa's local Camacari factory, are scheduled for delivery during the second quarter of 2015.

The contract signed with Ventos dos Guaras I Energias Renovaveis, a joint venture between Atlantic Energias Renovaveis and Casa dos Ventos, likewise includes the supply, transport, installation and commissioning of another 15 turbines of the same model at the Ventos dos Guaras I wind farm in the Morrinhos complex. These turbines will be delivered to the client during the third quarter of next year.

Gamesa expects construction of both projects to finish in December 2015. The company will also provide the operations and maintenance services for 15 years.

Gamesa says Brazil is one of its priority markets. With these two new orders for an aggregate 98 MW, the company has now received firm orders for the supply of 1,394 MW of its turbines in the region. As of December 2013, Gamesa had installed 452 MW of capacity in Brazil.
