Gamesa has installed its first G114-2.0 MW wind turbine in Asia-Pacific. Specifically, the towers are for the Subplu1 wind farm in Thailand – Gamesa's first in the country.
This project is part of an agreement Gamesa signed with Chinese developer PowerChina ZhongNan for the supply of 30 G114-2.0 MW turbines at three wind farms. The turbines are scheduled for commissioning in 2016, and Gamesa will maintain all the facilities for the next 10 years.
These models, with a tower height of 125 meters, are among the tallest turbines in the Southeast Asia region, says Gamesa.
