Gamesa has reached an agreement with Spain's Gas Natural to sell two wind farms with a combined 42 MW of installed capacity.
The 30 MW Alto do Seixal wind farm near Lugo consists of six Gamesa G80-2.0 MW turbines and nine G87-2.0 MW turbines. The wind farm is operational, Gamesa says.
The 12 MW Les Forques II wind farm outside Tarragona will be equipped with six G90-2 MW turbines and is scheduled to begin commercial operation in the second quarter of 2012. The sale of this asset is subject to approval by regulators, according to Gamesa.
Additionally, the company notes it had 628 MW in the final phases of construction and commissioning at the end of September, and expects a significant increase in activity in the fourth quarter, in terms of sales agreements and completion of wind farm sales in Europe and the U.S.
