Renewable energy developer Gaelectric has started operating the 42 MW Dunbeg Wind Farm, located between Limavady and Coleraine in Northern Ireland.

The 42 MW Dunbeg Wind Farm is powered by 14 Enercon E82 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 3 MW and a maximum tip height of 125 meters. According to Gaelectric, the wind farm is the company's third operating wind farm in Ireland and is one of the largest wind farms constructed on the island of Ireland.

The Dunbeg wind farm is one of several wind farms the company is developing in Ireland. Additional activities include a U.S. strategy that focuses on Montana and energy storage technology using compressed air.
