Fishermen’s Energy Taps TUV SUD PMSS To Join Offshore Wind Team

Fishermen's Energy has selected TUV SUD PMSS to serve as an independent engineering advisor for the developer's 25 MW offshore wind demonstration project, proposed off the coast of Atlantic City.

Under the terms of the agreement, TUV SUD PMSS, a renewable energy consulting firm, will provide an independent review of the capital and operational models for the project, as well as analysis of the time scales and sequencing of all construction activities.

‘We chose to work with TUV SUD PMSS based on the firm's extensive experience in the European offshore wind markets,’ says Stan White, program director of Fishermen's Energy. ‘As we progress further along the project timeline, we look forward to showcasing Atlantic City as a best-practice model for the wider U.S. offshore wind sector.’

Although New Jersey regulators recently denied Fishermen's application for offshore wind renewable energy certificates yet again, the developer is in the process of challenging the decision and maintains that project planning remains on track and on schedule.
