Western Wind Energy Corp. has closed the Windstar credit facilities, and scheduled funding has been made to the construction escrow account. Substantial construction on the Windstar project, located in California, is expected to begin immediately.
Western Wind says it expects to receive a U.S. Treasury cash grant worth approximately $70 million for 120 MW of the project.
