Falck Renewables Calls On Nordex - Again Turbine manufacturer Nordex has received another order from long-time customer Falck Renewables.

Per the contract, Nordex will supply 10 N90/2500 turbines for Falck's Assel Valley wind farm, located near the southwest coast of Scotland. The schedule includes the turnkey construction of the wind farm, including the civil and electrical infrastructure works.

The average wind speed at this site is around 9 m/s, corresponding to the International Electrotechnical Commission wind class 1. In order to ensure that the turbines do not exceed the permissible tip height, Nordex is installing them on 65-meter towers, which the company has developed especially for the U.K. wind market.

The wind farm is expected to be completed in October 2016. Following commissioning, Nordex will be in charge of servicing the turbines for five years.

The contract represents the 15th order Falck has placed with Nordex. Ten of the projects are situated in the U.K., with projects in Italy and France.
