Escondido, Calif.-based enXco Service Corp., an EDF Energies Nouvelles company, has renewed the operations and maintenance (O&M) agreement with Kansas City Power & Light (KCPL), a subsidiary of Great Plains Energy Inc., for the 100.5 MW Spearville Wind Project, located northeast of Dodge City, Kansas.

The company will operate and provide all necessary maintenance for the 67 GE 1.5 MW turbines and balance of plant equipment, as well as supplying 24/7 remote monitoring and fault resets from its operations control center in Pipestone, Minn.

‘We are pleased with the opportunity to continue the working relationship with KCPL,’ says Dave Luck, director of business development for enXco Service. ‘We are confident that our experience – which comes from providing O&M for over 4,005 wind turbines – will obtain the desired results for KCPL.’

enXco has been providing O&M services to the Spearville site since its operational date in October 2006.
