Chinese wind turbine manufacturer Envision Energy Co. Ltd. Services has signed a wind turbine certification contract with Germanischer Lloyd (GL). The contract includes A-Design Assessments of six turbine variants and includes certification for a 1.5 MW wind turbine.
The contract has commenced, and the first statements of compliance for the A-Design Assessment will be available in 2010. Envision Energy plans to provide evidence that its technology applies to both 50 Hz and 60 Hz grids for export purposes.
