EnergyTours Network, a joint project of VisitDenmark and the Climate Consortium, has established energy study visits, created to coincide with Denmark's hosting of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15) in December.
These technical visits, which can be tailored to individual groups' needs and interests, are designed to facilitate knowledge exchange and to help international businesses, municipalities and research centers develop and implement green processes. The service will be available through the end of 2010.
Tour sites include Thy and Mors, a region with a population of 70,000 whose electricity comes entirely from renewable resources, and Green Belt Denmark, the green economic development corridor in central Jutland.
