Temporal Power, a developer and manufacturer of energy-storage systems that use flywheel technology, has received C$500,000 from Canada's Investment Accelerator Fund (IAF), a program that invests in eligible companies as they develop technologies and bring products or services to market.
Temporal Power's technology is designed to help utilities modernize the grid, integrate wind and solar power, and better utilize water for generating clean power.
The government of Ontario funds IAF investments, which are generally made in the form of a convertible debenture or as an equity investment.
