Enel Green Power North America (EGPNA) has started construction on the 74 MW Little Elk wind farm, located in Kiowa and Washita counties, Okla.
According to Enel, the wind project is adjacent to the company's existing 150 MW Rocky Ridge wind farm.
EGPNA will be investing a total of approximately $130 million to construct Little Elk. The People's Electric Cooperative of Oklahoma have agreed to buy the wind farm's output over 25 years. The wind farm is expected to be online by the end of this year.
EGPNA currently operates three wind farms in Oklahoma, for a total installed capacity of 534 MW. The company is also constructing a further 350 MW of wind capacity in the state, including the 200 MW Goodwell wind project.
