Elk Grove Park District Electricity Contract Includes RECs

Champion Energy Services recently secured a contract to provide energy for Elk Grove Park District, which encompasses approximately 473 acres, 43 parks, and administrative offices.

The 36-month electricity contract includes renewable energy certificates (RECs) that will save an estimated 105 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions over the contract period.

‘The popularity of energy products sourced from renewable generation using wind, solar energy and biofuels continues to gain momentum, and we applaud Elk Grove Park District for including green energy components in its electricity contract,’ says Scott Fordham, president and CEO of Champion Energy Services.
