EDF Energies Nouvelles, a France-headquartered renewable energy developer, has signed a five-year operations and maintenance contract with MidAmerican Energy Co., a Des Moines, Iowa-based electric utility and subsidiary of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Co.
This contract, which was signed by enXco – the U.S. subsidiary of EDF – and MidAmerican Energy, covers four wind farms with 508.5 MW of total capacity – or 339 wind turbines, according to the companies.
EDF notes that enXco developed or built some of the four wind projects, including the 123 MW Pomeroy wind farm currently under construction and its 75 MW extension.
