EDF EN Canada Inc., an EDF Energies Nouvelles company, has confirmed that Saint-Laurent Energies Inc. (SLE) will transition to the EDF EN Canada Inc. brand as a result of EDF EN Canada Inc. acquiring full ownership of the SLE consortium in February.
‘The transition further creates synergy between the Montreal and Toronto teams in the pursuit of wind and solar development opportunities and one strategic leadership team to consolidate and expand the business throughout Quebec, Ontario and other provinces,’ says Tristan Grimbert, president and CEO of EDF EN Canada.
In addition, Al Kurzenhauser was promoted to chief operations officer for all business development efforts for the country; Stephane Boyer is transitioning to vice president, responsible for the successful build out of Quebec wind projects in current development as well as new opportunities; and Cory Basil was promoted to vice president of wind development, overseeing development and origination activities across all provinces.
The Montreal team will continue to focus on the implementation of the Quebec projects but will also support EDF EN Canada activities throughout Canada.
