EDF Energies Nouvelles recently commissioned four U.S. wind farms totaling more than 708 MW.
In December and January, the following projects entered service:
- The Tyler Bluff (125.6 MW) and Salt Fork (174 MW) wind farms in northern Texas;
- The Great Western wind farm (225 MW) in northeastern Oklahoma; and
- The Kelly Creek wind farm (184 MW) in northeastern Illinois.
The majority (96 MW) of Tyler Bluff’s output is covered by an agreement with Procter & Gamble, which plans to offset 100% of the electricity needed for all of its North American-based fabric and home care plants.
Google is contracting with the Great Western project to supply renewable energy to a nearby data center. In addition, Salesforce has a power purchase agreement covering 24 MW of power generated by the Salt Fork project.
