Clean Currents has announced that Dumbarton House, a Federal-style house located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., has purchased enough wind power to meet 100% of its energy needs.

‘Here you have this stately, historic house museum in one of the oldest neighborhoods in the country choosing to purchase 21st-century wind power for its energy needs,’ says Ron Rodriguez, vice president of business development at Clean Currents. ‘This is what the clean energy movement is all about.’

Dumbarton House purchased nearly 150 MWh of wind power. Cultural Tourism DC, of which Dumbarton House is a member, helped to arrange the purchase.
