DEWI: German Wind Market Is Recovering

REpower AG is reporting that Germany installed 356 wind turbines worth 793 MW in the first half of this year, according to Deutsches Windenergie Institut (DEWI), the German wind institute.

This is a 20% increase compared to last year's level. The German wind energy association, BWE, and the association of German mechanical engineers, VDMA, expect about 1,800 MW to be installed this year. This is up from 1,551 MW in 2010.
