Denali Energy Inc. of Baxter, Minn., and Montgomery Energy Partners LP of Houston have entered into a joint venture to develop the Hartland Wind Farm, spanning portions of Burke, Mountrail and Ward counties in North Dakota.
The first phase of Hartland Wind Farm is expected to produce 500 MW using 333 turbines. A second 500 MW phase is in development.
‘Hartland Wind Farm project is a shining example of how we can promote economic development, reduce our dependence on foreign oil and provide a healthier environment,’ says Craig Fink, principal with Hartland. ‘We appreciate the enthusiasm for clean, renewable, locally produced wind energy. Well-planned wind farms can generate lots of clean power, local tax revenue and still be a good neighbor.’
