Delmarva Power, Synergics Tweaking Chestnut Flats Project Plans

0

Delmarva Power has filed a request with the Delaware Public Service Commission (PSC) to approve an amended agreement it recently coordinated with Synergics Eastern Wind Energy LLC, which is developing the Chestnut Flats Wind Farm in partnership with Gamesa.

The agreement involves moving the wind farm approximately 75 miles from western Maryland to central Pennsylvania, setting the final project size at 38 MW and extending the delivery date by six months to June 30. The price for the energy and associated renewable energy credits will not change, the companies say.

‘The shift in location allows us to more quickly bring renewable energy to Delmarva Power's customers,’ says Wayne Rogers, president of Synergics.

Synergics is expected to take ownership of the wind farm, which will use Gamesa G90 2.0 MW wind turbines, upon completion.
