Datapipe, a provider of managed services and infrastructure for IT and cloud computing, has announced that all of its U.S.-based data centers are now powered by 100% renewable energy. As a result, the company is now a member of the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Green Power Leadership Club.

As part of the company's sustainability strategy, Datapipe's San Jose, Calif., data center has fully converted to running operations on renewably sourced electricity. The company converted its other U.S.-based data centers to renewable power in 2010. The electricity comes primarily from wind power.

Datapipe purchased almost 56 million kWh of renewable power, according to the EPA.
