The island of Curaçao has installed its third wind project, the Terra Kora II, built by Aspiravi International NV and NuCapital Inc.
Now fully operational, the wind farm comprises five wind turbines with an installed capacity of 17.25 MW. It is an extension of existing wind farms Tera Kora I and Playa Kanoa.
The island now gets 30% of its energy from wind power, notes Aspiravi, which is based in Belgium. Moreover, Curaçao’s goal of obtaining 30% of its energy from renewable sources in 2020 has now been achieved.
The wind farm is the next step of Aspiravi’s international growth plan.
