Norwegian Cruise Line has announced a partnership with NextEra Energy Resources on an environmental initiative. The partnership will allow guests sailing on the cruise ships to voluntarily contribute $10 per person, per cruise through NextEra's EarthEra Renewable Energy Trust via Norwegian's website at ncl.com. All of the funds will be used to build new renewable energy facilities across the U.S.

‘Our partnership with NextEra Energy Resources represents a first for the industry and furthers our commitment to the environment,’ says Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line's CEO. ‘We are pleased to offer the opportunity for our guests to offset their carbon footprint and help build renewable energy.’
