Orange County, Calif.-headquartered Commerce Energy's Texas Clear Choice renewable energy program has been Green-e certified by the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS). The certification follows prior certifications in Maryland and Pennsylvania, CRS adds.
‘Clear Choice is the only Green-e certified renewable electricity program offered in Texas,’ says Lars Kvale, Green-e analyst. ‘Green-e is pleased to, once again, welcome Commerce Energy to the Green-e Renewable Energy Certification Program.’
The Clear Choice program is sourced from wind facilities located in Texas. CRS says the use of local resources for Clear Choice wind-generated electricity results in customer participation, helping the local environment while creating greater demand for development of renewable resources.
