CPS Energy Adds 150 MW In Texas

CPS Energy has added 150 MW of wind power to its renewable energy program with the start of operations at the Cedro Hill Wind Farm in Bruni, Texas.

The wind farm, located 40 miles east of Laredo, is expected to generate enough electricity to service more than 42,000 homes. The 20,000-acre site features 100 GE 1.5 MW machines.Â

CPS Energy aims to grow its renewable energy portfolio to 1,500 MW by 2020. With the addition of the Cedro Hill, CPS Energy currently has 859 MW of wind energy.Â
