D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments LLC and Oregon Windfarms LLC (OWF) have announced the start of construction on five wind farms known as the Huntington Wind projects.
The projects are located 30 miles northwest of Ontario in Baker County, Ore., and consist of five independent 10 MW wind facilities developed by OWF. All five projects have signed 20-year qualifying facility power purchase agreements with Idaho Power Co. and will use GE 2 MW wind turbines.
KeyBank N.A. and CIT Bank N.A. provided senior debt financing for the projects, and U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corp., a division of U.S. Bank, committed tax equity financing.
Following financial close in mid-November 2015, the projects began construction in late December 2015 and are on track to reach commercial operation in the fourth quarter of this year. Site Constructors Inc. will serve as the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for the projects.
Just one more move for Idaho Power to walk all over Oregon and Baker country. I would like to see them pull that crap off in Boise.
Only salvation is they can be removed.
