Community wind project developer Juhl Wind Inc. has announced that its GL Wind project has achieved commercial operation.
The two-turbine, 4.95 MW project was completed for Gundersen Health System in Winona County, Minn., and was constructed to specifically address the energy concerns of a large regional health organization, Juhl Wind explains.
According to the company, the wind power installation contributes to Gundersen Health System's goal of becoming 100% energy independent by 2014.
