Charter International PLC, parent company of ESAB Welding & Cutting Products, has announced that it has been acquired by Colfax Corp., a Fulton, Md.-based industrial manufacturing company that owns 10 brands in the pumping and fluid-handling market.
ESAB employs more than 8,500 people worldwide, and has sales and support locations in 80 countries, as well as 26 manufacturing facilities across four continents. ESAB's North American headquarters is located in Florence, S.C.
