Manassas, Va.-based Catch the Wind Ltd. (CTW) has delivered its Vindicator laser wind sensor (LWS) unit for commercial use to AXYS Technologies, a provider of environmental data acquisition, processing and telemetry systems for marine and terrestrial applications.
‘Based on our current field trials, ongoing sales activities and the encouraging feedback on our technology from various members of the wind energy sector, we expect continued progress in the months ahead,’ says Phil Rogers, president and CEO of CTW.
As previously reported, AXYS will install the Vindicator LWS on one of its data collection buoys to determine the viability of wind energy production in offshore environments through the accurate measurement of wind speed and direction.
