NJR Clean Energy Ventures says the Carroll Area Wind Farm, located in northern Iowa, is now producing power.
NJR says the $42 million project, located on 1,100 acres of agricultural land, is powered by nine Siemens SWT 2.3-108 wind turbines that sit on 80-meter towers.
MidAmerican Energy has agreed to purchase 100% of the wind farm's output over 25 years. Additionally, the company expects the wind farm will qualify for the production tax credit.
