Carl Zeiss Inc. has introduced its MMZ-G coordinate measuring machine designed for quick and highly precise measurement of large parts. The MMZ G features a measuring volume of up to 4,000 x 8,000 x 4,000 mm.
Equipped with a rotary table, the product permits measurements of cylindrical parts and gear wheels and offers full mathematical compensation for eccentricity and wobbling. Rotary tables with a diameter of up to 2,000 mm and a load capacity of up to eight tons are optionally available upon request.
CAD-based CALYPSO measuring software and VAST technology help deliver form, size and position information and can determine the roundness of parts in a single measuring run. The user-friendly GEAR PRO software permits the measurement of gears without a rotary table.
