Canada, Norway Collaborating On Energy Resource Development


The Honorable Joe Oliver, Canada's minister of natural resources, and Ola Borten Moe, Norway's minister of petroleum and energy, have signed a joint statement to cooperate in the energy sector.

According to the announcement released by Natural Resources Canada, ministers and officials from the two countries will regularly meet to share expertise and seek opportunities for collaboration in areas such as renewable energy, carbon capture and storage technology, and oil and gas.

‘Canada and Norway share a commitment to develop our natural resources in a safe and sustainable manner,’ Oliver says. ‘Canada is a responsible and reliable partner in achieving a secure global energy supply, and we look forward to ongoing collaboration with our friends in Norway.’
