Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners and its institutional partners have completed the acquisition of the wind energy assets of Bord Gais Eieann.
Brookfield says it will maintain a 40% economic interest in the 321 MW wind portfolio. There are 17 wind farms located in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
With an additional 137 MW in construction and a development pipeline of approximately 300 MW of wind, the portfolio is also well positioned for future growth, Brookfield notes.
