Cicero, Ill.-based Broadwind Energy Inc., which provides integrated solutions for the energy and infrastructure markets, has announced $28 million in new tower orders from a U.S. wind turbine manufacturer.
Broadwind says it will produce the turbines at its Manitowoc, Wis., facility. The towers will be delivered later this year.
Stephanie Kushner, interim CEO of Broadwind, says the Manitowoc facility has constructed over 2,000 wind turbines since 2008.
“We continue to be in late-stage discussions to fill the remaining capacity for 2016 and beyond,” she says.
