Broadwind Energy Inc. has announced $11 million in new tower orders from an unidentified U.S. wind turbine manufacturer. Broadwind notes it will produce the towers in its Manitowoc, Wis., facility for 2015 delivery.
‘These orders solidify our 2015 tower production,’ states Broadwind President and CEO Peter Duprey. ‘I am pleased with our order book for 2015 and the level of quoting activity for 2016.’
This order follows a separate tower deal Broadwind recently announced in September. That order, again from an unidentified U.S. turbine maker, totaled $14 million.
