Cicero, Ill.-based Broadwind Energy Inc., which provides integrated solutions and equipment for the energy and infrastructure markets, has announced $11 million in new tower orders from an unnamed U.S. wind turbine manufacturer.
According to Broadwind, the company will produce the towers in its Manitowoc, Wis., facility. The towers are scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter.
“To date in 2016, we have announced over $200 million in new tower orders – more than the last two years combined,” says Broadwind President and CEO Stephanie Kushner. “This is a testament to the strength of the U.S. wind industry, the solid partnerships with our customers and the high-quality towers produced by the Broadwind team.”
