The U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is inviting the public to its Virginia Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force meeting, taking place on Sept. 22 at the Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront in Virginia Beach.
According to BOEM, the purpose of the meeting is to discuss the current status of activities offshore Virginia.
Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m.; the meeting will start at 10:00 a.m. and end around 3:45 p.m. Participation during the meeting will be limited to task force members only, but a public question-and-answer session will be held after.
BOEM notes that its Virginia Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force is an intergovernmental group comprising federal officials and elected state, local and tribal officials or designated member representatives.
