Although Availon is widely known for its experience in servicing GE wind turbines, the operations and maintenance (O&M) services provider continues to add turbine platforms to its arsenal.
In fact, Availon says it recently added more than 100 MW of Vestas turbine generators to its portfolio. The total pushes Availon past the 1,000 MW milestone for Vestas turbines under its care. The company also adds that it provides O&M services for Gamesa's turbine technology.
Diversification – both in geography and by turbine type – has paid off, notes Availon. Outside its German home market, the company has more than 2 GW of installed capacity under contract.
