In an effort to attract and acquire new renewable energy projects, Arizona Public Service Co. (APS) has issued two requests for proposals (RFPs): one each for wind and solar.
According to APS, the solicitation for Arizona-based wind energy seeks projects between 15 MW and 100 MW located entirely within Arizona. Respondents are required to provide proposals for long-term power purchase and/or turnkey agreements.
APS will purchase the power when completed.
Interested parties are encouraged to participate in the photovoltaic RFP bidder's conference on March 12. Additional information about the conference and the RFP is available online at www.aps.com/rfp. RFP submissions are due April 7, 2010.
The RFP for photovoltaic seeks projects between 15 MW and 50 MW. Projects must employ commercially proven technology. Respondents are required to provide proposals for long-term power purchase agreements and/or turnkey agreements.
Interested parties are encouraged to participate in the Arizona-based wind RFP bidder's teleconference on March 17.
