Arizona Public Service Co. (APS) will host a webinar on Feb. 23, to prepare respondents for the issuance of a renewable energy request for proposal (RFP) planned for April.
The webinar will cover changes to the RFP process that are being implemented this year. These changes include new requirements for when transmission interconnection studies must be completed, when the developer must have control of the land where the project is located and a requirement to post-development security (cash or letter of credit).
The RFP is part of the APS Small Generation Standard Offer program, a three-year effort that uses annual solicitations for energy from projects between 2 MW and 15 MW. The program's first RFP was issued in 2010.
