American Wind Capital Co. (AWCC) has acquired Tehachapi, Calif.-based ON Wind Energy LLC and several additional turbines (9 MW in total) from Oak Creek Energy Systems, a California-based developer that is majority-owned by Marubeni Corp.
The transaction, which is the second between the parties, includes significant wind royalty cashflow, according to AWCC.
AWCC also announced a minority investment in Grant County Wind, a 20 MW project in Minnesota in which AWCC partnered with Olympus Power.
