Pattern Energy Group recently provided an update on the 150 MW Amazon Wind Farm, located in Benton County, Ind.
The project, which was formerly known as Fowler Ridge, has closed financing and obtained a 13-year power purchase agreement with Amazon to supply electricity to the electric grids that service the Amazon Web Services data centers.
Pattern also noted that construction is ramping up at the project. According to Pattern, 65 Siemens 2.3 MW turbines will power the project. The project is expected to start generating power in the fourth quarter. Mortenson Construction will manage construction of the project. Local contractors will be utilized during construction and operations.
