Alstom has won its second wind turbine contract in South Korea. The company has signed a deal with DaeMyoung Energy Corp. to provide turbines for the 18 MW Gowon wind farm in the country.
The wind farm is located in Gangwon province, approximately 170 km east of Seoul. Alstom will supply and supervise the installation and commissioning of six units of its ECO 110 wind turbines, each featuring a 90-meter tower and an output of 3 MW.
Joint owners DaeMyoung Energy and Eurus Energy Holdings Corp. will operate the wind farm once it goes online by the end of 2015.
This deal follows one Alstom previously won to supply 10 of its ECO 110 turbines to the Gimnyeong wind farm in South Korea.
