Patrick Woodson, formerly the chief operating officer at wind developer E.ON Climate & Renewables (EC&R) North America Wind is now the company's new CEO, replacing Steve Trenholm, who is now chairman.

According to EC&R, Trenholm will ensure that all company policies are implemented consistently across North America. He will continue in his other roles as director of compliance and director of performance improvement, notes the company.

Woodson, meanwhile, will oversee the company's 2.7 GW portfolio, which includes 18 wind farms across five states. EC&R has approximately 260 employees in its Chicago; Austin, Texas; and Portland, Ore., offices and wind farms.
