Advanced Torque Products (ATP) has introduced the ATP 40000, a new mechanical torque multiplier.
This digitally controlled wrench produces up to 40,000 feet per pound, and is accurate to plus or minus 1%, even in extreme temperatures, according to ATP. It is especially suited for automatic motor drives, MRO applications and a variety of high-torque applications.
A Smartchip and electronic bridge circuit in the wrench's outer casing provide traceability and permit any control box to be used with the calibrated hub, ATP says. An EPROM within the wrench stores calibration data.
The digital controller is equipped with peak and track mode and an over-torque alarm, the company adds.
